Hello there! It’s me Choy. On this mini blog about my EuroTravel last 2014, I will be sharing to you some of the photos that I took. (If you have any questions/inquiries, please leave a comment below, thank you~) I want to share my experiences to you!
About this trip, I stayed for three months in total. My point of entry is Frankfurt, Germany. I went there alone and met my friends there. It was really nice experience. It is like an adventure to me because from Asia to Europe I was alone taking the buses, trains, transfers, layover, etc. I bet not all people can do that when you are just 19 years of age. But yes, I did and I am happy about it. Haha~
So, I started my trip beginning of April. It was a bit chilly those months that I remembered getting sick for the first one week upon arrival in Germany. It was so cold for me that it is like blizzard was hitting my skull. So I just wear lots of clothes and yeah! I survived.
From Germany to France, Austria & Italy, me and some of my friends drove through hi-ways or side-ways to see what is looks like of each countries, we got lost, had arguments, did not talk for few hours, but at the end of the day, we are still friends and had a precious time.
I know it is quite late post already for this trip as now is 2017, but maybe I could give inspiration to young travelers like me. And here we go! I will be showing you some of the photos I took, and please excuse me as some of those places I could not remember exact names. Please excuse me too for not so good photos as I am not really good at photography. Enjoy!!! Let’s gogogogogo!!!
This is the Flag of Germany / Deutschland. People are extremely kind but could get too serious at some point.
That’s how few my things is for my 3 months trip. Some noodles (Asian thingy), sun glasses, shirts, trousers, undies, sweets, etc.
This is the very first photo I took in Neckarsteinach, Germany. That is just a part of Neckar River. Very clean, fresh air, lots of green, it is just amazing to live there! It is 15 minutes driving going to famous city of Heidelberg and around 1 hour away from Frankfurt.
These are some of the views around the city where I stayed.
Heidelberg Castle /Heidelberger Schloss is a ruin in Germany and landmark of Heidelberg. The castle ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. Sorry for the photo, it was night time and not good quality. You can access the castle if you will be paying the entrance fee. If I am not mistaken, it is around 20-40 Euros.
This slideshow is from my Bavaria trip Neuchwanstein Castle / Schloss Neuschwanstein. I was not able to take photos inside the castle because it is prohibited and I do not want to pay penalties. Here lots of locals, Japanese and Chinese tourists.
Austria Flag, Beautiful alps, Good for skiing during winter. Great cafes with amazing scenery. I love Austria! ( I think petrol in Austria is cheaper than Germany, that is why some people who lives near the border rather buy petrol at Austria than in Germany.)
I only got like 6 photos of Austria. (T..T) I cannot find the others.
France’s flag. Amazing country, city of love. I went to Paris. It was so chilly and sun is not really out that time. I also got lost a bit and had teary eyes because I was a bit scared. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed France! I am so excited to show you the photos! On our way to France, I got lots of stress, because my friends and I used the sideways which leads us to very different places, like end of the world! A bit scary at night in the middle of forest right? Haha. But thanks God, we arrived safe in our destinations.
Random photos you might want to check, now you got that feeling that you want to pack your things and book your flight right? I know that feeling!
Italia! Where mouth watering foods could be found. Italy leaves its mark! For Italy trip, I will focus on Venetia/Venice. The famous Floating City. No cars allowed inside the city. But they have boat taxi that has serenades too! So romantic!
This is one of y favorite shot, I think it is beautiful! Haha. This city is really calm. I am sure you will love to step in the floating city!
OMG! Yes, byebye Italia, after spending the whole day at the city, we have to leave and drive back to Germany! It took us around 1/2 days driving except the stop overs that we had along the way. It was really really really long tiring trip! It is like an adventure! Be sure to bring bicycles like what we did, so that you will enjoy more. More places to go with bicycle than just plain walking.
After all the tiring trip, we are back in Darsberg, Germany, it is a small town where in I think only 50 houses around the area. It is situated on the top of a hill.
Well, this is how I look like at home, so chilly that I am wearing 3 layers and socks! Haha, time to rest! Everyone, thank you for reading my mini blog. I hope you liked it. Please leave a comment below if you want to. I am open on any suggestions for making this page a better one. Thank you~ ^^
(Grammar is not good, I know, but I hope you understand what I mean, ^^)
(Stay tuned on other update of my Asia & Europe travels. I will be also reviewing some products/foods)
